Cover Story: Medicinal plants such as Syzygium aromaticum, Citrus silt, and Allium sativum offer promising compounds against SARS-CoV-2. This study evaluated the inhibitory effects of these plants' polyphenols, flavonoids, and organosulfur compounds against two key SARS-CoV-2 proteases, 6LU7 and 6Y2E. A comprehensive in silico approach was employed, including molecular docking, ADMET analysis, and molecular dynamics simulations.  View this paper

Cover Story: The amount of mining waste containing heavy metals and metallic trace elements (MTE) is continuously rising because of the high demand for metals in industries, despite the significant risks that mining industries pose to the environment and public health, especially when the site is neglected without proper restoration measures after it has been closed. A detailed analysis of environmental studies revealed a correlation between the leaching of MTE from abandoned mine wastes and environmental problems such as the contamination of sediments, soils, waters, and crops.
